In 1996, Lee Friedlander an American artist and photographer took this self portrait of himself driving through New York. Compared to other self portraits that I have seen, this picture to me looks kind of intense. maybe it is his body position, lighting, or facial expression but immediately I got an intense feeling from the image. I like that he chose to capture an image of himself from outside this car instead of inside. It shows me that he is performing some action and it brings in more detail to the image. I appreciate the artistic view of Lee Friedlander. Also I really like the contrast and the different shades of grey. The in between is what brings the image altogether and defines the meaning more. I appreciate his artistic choices and I hope to create images with inspiration to his art

 Man Ray- Rayograph (The Kiss) This image was taken in 1922 by Man Ray. When you first look at the image you see two people kissing but as you look deeper into the image more starts to reveal itself. Hands are also present in this image. As I look at this image, it makes me feel like there are two people that are madly in love and is in a way "devouring" each other. It is as if they can't get enough of each other. The hands on the left person's face is more vivid compared to the ones on the right person's face. When searching up this image I seen that this photo was done using a light sensitive paper and as I look at the picture it all starts to make sense. The two people are together and can't keep their hands off of each other. The hands can fade in some places and move in others but then also be bright in other parts.
